Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at The Pyramid.

The Buffalo Bison defeated the Cairo Pharaohs, 11-5, in 10 innings. Jeff Holmes, who is tied for 10th in the TML with a .328 batting average, played a big role. Holmes was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Bison in the win. The Bison raised their record to 35-37.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Danny Pellot came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Cairo pitcher Morgan Henn, he hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Buffalo on top, 6-5.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Pellot.
