The West Island Jazz stopped the Bloomington Blazers, 5-3, in 12 innings at Arson Arena. The Jazz got a big game from Kenny Cox, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win boosted West Island to 47-39.

Cox had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a full count fastball from Kenny Gill, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Jazz a 5-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Cox.

Cox attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
