Bryant Powers Beach Bums to 5-4 Win
Good production from first baseman Michael Bryant helped the Traverse City Beach Bums topple the Chicago Eclipse, 5-4. Bryant went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Beach Bums. Marco Huerta earned the win for Traverse City. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 8-7. With the win, Traverse City upped its record to 88-54.

Bryant had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Ken Blais, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Beach Bums a 5-4 lead. It was the 29th home run of the year for Bryant.
