The Buffalo Bison beat the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 9-5, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Greg Maddux Jr., in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Yoshikazu Kamiyama was credited with the save for Buffalo, his 33rd of the season. The last-place Bison are now 50-100, the Toreros 67-83.

With Buffalo leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Maddux Jr. hit a fastball from Kirk Hojnacki for a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Bison ahead, 4-0.
