Seattle Tops Portland 4-2, Claim 2-1 Series Lead
|
With starter Luis Munoz leading the charge, the Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Portland Beavers, 4-2, in Game 3 of the Divisional Championship today. The right-hander threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball at Waterfront Park to help Seattle take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Munoz was effective against the Beavers, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Portland to just 2 runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.
Munoz called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Waterfront Park in Portland. Slated to start are Jorge Morones for Seattle and Luis Velazquez for Portland.
