Evansville Otters starter Jesse Reaves pitched a strong game against the Sussex County Miners at Rocketmen Ballpark, leading the Otters to a 3-2 win. With the win, the Otters improved to 27-24.

Evansville took a 1-0 lead on Justin Hudson's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hudson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sussex County pitcher Eric Mehl shaking his head.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Reaves. "Successful pitchers do it."
