Jacksonville Sweeps into the League Pennant
|
It was a sweet sweep for the Jacksonville Pilots as they eased past the Chicago Eclipse to advance to the League Pennant.
Jacksonville won the final game by a 5-0 count and the series 4-0.
"We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Enrique Sanchez, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Sanchez hit .385 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The League Pennant matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
