Getting an impressive start from Alex Diaz, Quebec beat Montreal by the score of 5-1. Diaz, now 8-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Forest Woolfrey was called on to finish, recording his 23rd save.
Quebec used a clutch hit from John McKinley to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Armada ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We all want to win," said McKinley. "We all want to do our part."
With the win, Quebec goes to 57-78, while the Jazz fall to 78-57.
