Bison Roll to 8-3 Win Over Stogies
|
Benefiting from Kerry Stricker's productive game, the Bighorn Bison downed the Havana Stogies, 8-3. Stricker went 2-2 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Bison. Patrick Greathouse picked up the save, his 4th. At 11-5, the Bison have played well so far.
Frank Widner chipped in for Bighorn with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"The team always comes first, so pulling out the win on a day like today is the most important thing," Stricker told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
