The Vancouver Canadians got a stellar performance from pitcher Yoshiyuki Matsuda, who handcuffed the Albuquerque offense en route to a 4-2 win at Stanley Park. Matsuda got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Matsuda allowed 2 earned runs. Jose Benavides earned the save, his 6th.

Tristan Erdahl contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that propelled Vancouver to the win.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Matsuda. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."

Vancouver, at 11-3, has sizzled in the early going.
