The West Island Jazz snuck past the Havana Stogies, 4-3, in 10 innings. West Island right fielder Henry Pitcher, in particular, had a standout performance. Ernesto Herrera claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 1-1. The win gives West Island a record of 11-9.

Pitcher had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 fastball from Ignazio Menichelli, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Jazz a 4-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Pitcher.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Pedro Gonzáles.
