Seattle Downed, 5-2, by Warriors
|
The Walnut Creek Warriors rode a solid performance from 27-year-old starting pitcher Nelson Ramirez to a win, beating the Seattle Sasquatch, 5-2, at Castlerock Field. Russ Gilleo finished the game for Walnut Creek and earned his 4th save. The Warriors, now 13-7, have been on a roll in the early going.
Walnut Creek took a 3-2 lead on Kevin McArdle's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which McArdle hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Seattle pitcher Dave Foster visibly frustrated.
"What's not to like about a win?" said McArdle.
