The Thunder Bay Black Bears defeated the Minneapolis Freeze, 7-4, in RCL AAA action at The Ice Box, with Thunder Bay center fielder Arturo Chapa named player of the game. Dave Bustos got credit for the win, improving to 3-6. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings. Thunder Bay now owns a record of 21-26.

Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Justyn Bieber to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Black Bears on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Chapa said after the game.
