Sasquatch Deal Warriors 4-2 Defeat
|
The Seattle Sasquatch and Walnut Creek Warriors played an exciting game.
The Seattle Sasquatch scooped up a win at Castlerock Field, dumping the Walnut Creek Warriors, 4-2. Ethan Jenkins, who is tied for 4th in the TML in innings pitched with 35.0, was essential to his team's success. Seattle reliever Dave Foster picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Cruz absorbed the loss. Sam Godfrey finished the game for Seattle and earned his 5th save.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Charles McNeil? The 26-year old left fielder McNeil stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Seattle up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 2 doubles and 1 single.
"All in all, I thought Ethan pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Seattle manager Vicente Vargas.
The loss drops Walnut Creek to 13-8.
