Eureka Hornets starter Justin Soule pitched a strong game against the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners at The Nest, leading the Hornets to victory, 4-3. The loss puts Eagle Rock at 12-9.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Eureka right fielder Mark Bradford, facing Jack Anthony, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Hornets the 4-3 win.

"This place sure got loud," said Juan Montés, the Eureka manager.
