The Montreal Mounties powered past the Mexico City Luchadores, 9-3, at The Royal Grounds. Leil Moorthy provided some of the pop. 2057 BD went 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The victory makes Montreal 1-2.

Montreal used a timely hit from Chris Elliott to get the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mounties ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Elliott. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
