|
Mexico City starter Duane Alcock put the Eureka offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Luchadores to a 5-1 win. The defeat makes Eureka 17-13.
Neal Bell had a big bases-clearing double for the Luchadores in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Mexico City leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jonathan Ortiz and swatted a double to center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Luchadores ahead, 4-0.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Alcock.
