Astoria designated hitter Pat Sobiech played a vital role in his team's 12-9 triumph over Billings. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Astoria. Reliever Ramon Feliciano picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ruben Martinez took the loss. David Rios converted his 16th save in 22 tries.

Adam Ashton helped out the Astoria cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the shortstop went 2-5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Ashton told the Astoria Times.

The 5th-place Argonauts have won 4 straight games.
