Pyne Leads Ridge Runners to 7-6 Win Over Warriors
Due in large part to first baseman Jon Pyne, the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners sunk the Walnut Creek Warriors, 7-6. Pyne was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Steve Blaire. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. Brian Clendenny earned the save for Eagle Rock, his 9th.

Pyne had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 cutter from Darren Rogers, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Ridge Runners a 7-6 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Pyne.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Pyne, "and then get after it again."

Walnut Creek drops to 18-10.
