Blazers Earn 4-1 Road Win Over Walnut Creek
The Bloomington Blazers downed the Walnut Creek Warriors, 4-1, at Castlerock Field. Stellar pitching by Mike Dooley had a lot to do with it. The left-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Randy Stucki. With the win, Bloomington upped its record to 24-19.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Micah Bell? The 29-year old second baseman Bell stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Bloomington up, 4-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Mike's as tough as he is talented," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews.
