Ruiz Helps Pilots Beat Millers, 7-5
Miguel Ruiz was a major contributor to the 7-5 Jacksonville win over Milwaukee. The Pilots left fielder went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Patrick Greathouse. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Luis Moreno was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.

With the game tied, 5-5, in the top of the seventh, Ruiz had a key at-bat for Jacksonville. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ruiz hit a 2-run single off Drew Young, making the score 7-5, Pilots.

"I'm proud to wear a Jacksonville jersey," Ruiz told the Jacksonville Daily News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
