|
In a low-scoring contest between the Eureka Hornets and the Quebec Armada, Justin Soule, who finished 2nd in the TML in saves with 39 in 2062, proved to be the difference. The Eureka left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Hornets win. Soule got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Dave Murphy.
Brian Carr, the 21st overall pick in the 2062 draft, helped out the Eureka cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.
"Justin gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Eureka skipper Juan Montés.
Quebec falls to 2-4.
