Eclipse Lose to Marauders, 6-2

Maple Marauders starter Joe McGinnity pitched his team past the Chicago Eclipse, 6-2. McGinnity, now 5-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Picking up his 3rd save was fireballing right-hander Ron Elliott.
Frank Robinson III, who led the TML in triples with 13 in 2063, helped out the Maple cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"Joe works, he fights, and he keeps a good attitude," said Marauders manager Aaron McKenna.
Maple, at 26-34, occupies 5th place in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
