Escobar Excels in 11-7 Mexico City Win
The Mexico City Luchadores defeated the Hawaii Honu, 11-7, in Roberto Clemente League action at Aloha Stadium. Eddie Escobar pulled his weight. The 11-year veteran went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The win belonged to Kadidu Dajan in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Goff took the loss for Hawaii. Mexico City sits in last place in the Roberto Clemente League International Division at 23-35.

Añasco, Puerto Rico native Eddie Escobar had a clutch at-bat in the top of the eighth for the Luchadores. With Mexico City trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Escobar told the Mexico City Gazette, "and we played pretty well tonight."
