The Eureka Hornets pounded the Bloomington Blazers, 16-1, at Arson Arena. Mark Bradford, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL in bases on balls with 37, had a solid game. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 4 for the Hornets. Jim Rankin earned the win, while 19-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Kalk took the loss for Bloomington. Eureka improves to 39-22 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.

With Eureka leading 6-1 in the top of the third, Bradford came up to bat against Bloomington pitcher Jay Vincent. Bradford hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Hornets on top, 9-1.

"That game had disaster written all over it," said Bloomington skipper Scott Andrews. "I could feel it."
