Despite a great performance by Maple designated hitter Earl Bitner, the Dallas Texans defeated the Marauders by the score of 6-3 at Metroplex Park. Bitner went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. Bobby Gilmore was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Josh Hall. Chris Nugent was called on to finish, recording his 16th save.

Dean Hrusovsky hit a 2-run home run off Josh Hall in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Texans ahead, 4-2. In addition to the homer, Hrusovsky had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

Hrusovsky called the win "a team effort."

Dallas, at 27-40, occupies last place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.
