Mavericks Squeeze By Milwaukee, 4-3
|
The El Paso Mavericks weathered an outstanding game by Milwaukee shortstop Jamie Linn to topple the Millers, 4-3. Linn was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. El Paso reliever Jeff Dalton was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Jay Davis took the loss. The save went to Morgan Henn, his 17th this season.
Matt Dahlk, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL in bases on balls with 38, helped out the El Paso cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Dahlk told a El Paso Observer reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
The 4th-place Mavericks sport a record of 32-35.
