The Tulane Green Wave saddled the Oregon State Beavers with a loss at Palisades Ballpark. The final score was 11-6. Tulane used the timely hitting of Alvaro de la Cruz to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Green Wave on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," de la Cruz told the Tulane Today. "It's as simple as that."
