Legends Get One-Run Win at Calgary
|
Saskatoon right-hander David McCaw made an effective start against the Calgary Outlaws at Corvettes Ballpark, leading his team to a 4-3 win. The winning pitcher was McCaw, now 1-0. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Saskatoon improves to 3-2 as they look to defend their championship.
An important at-bat for the Legends came in the top of the fifth, when center fielder Dan Peckford stroked a solo home run. That made the score 4-2 in favor of Saskatoon. For the day, Peckford went 1-4 with a home run and a walk.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Peckford.
