The Eureka Hornets got a strong performance from pitcher Harley Lowrie. RCP2059 stymied the Seattle offense en route to a solid, 6-2 win at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. The winning pitcher was Lowrie, now 8-4. He tossed 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. The Hornets, at 44-31, sit in first place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

Eureka took the lead, 5-1, on Brian Carr's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Seattle pitcher Thor Odinson in the top of the seventh.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Carr after the game.
