Schimmel Stars for Bison in 9-3 Win
The Buffalo Bison put one in the win column with an opening day 9-3 triumph over the Pennsylvania Butterflies. The crowd at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium watched Jonathan Schimmel put on a fine performance.

Catcher Ruben Acevedo made an impact for Buffalo, when he swatted a 2-run triple off Bruce Hauber in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Acevedo was 1-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager Aaron Barnes.
