In a tight tilt between the Bighorn Bison and the Eureka Hornets, Wes Stith was the deciding factor. The Bighorn right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The Hornets, at 45-38, have lost 5 in a row.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Bighorn trailing 1-0, Matt Loss hit a fastball from Jonathan Ortiz to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Bison had a walk-off win.

"That's how you're going to be successful," said Bison manager Carlos Esparza. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
