Kansas City's Escobar to Miss 5 Weeks
Wednesday, September 19th , 2057
Kansas City fans will be disappointed to learn that Eddie Escobar suffered a fractured hand while running the bases in today's game. After the doctor informed the Kansas City Tornadoes manager that Escobar was expected to miss 5 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the center fielder could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

In 148 games Escobar is hitting .263 this season with 147 hits, 31 home runs, 66 RBIs, 47 walks, .330 OBP and has scored 83 runs.
