Joe Calleson put together a very solid month to take home the Roberto Clemente League's top pitching honor in September. The 25-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 15 relief appearances he raked in 12 saves and 16 strikeouts in 16.1 innings as he put together his 2-1 record and 1.10 ERA. To date this season, Calleson has fashioned a 2.77 ERA and rung up 18 saves for his club. He has 63 strikeouts and 17 walks. Opponents have hit for a combined .196 average against him and Calleson has a 4-4 won-lost mark. |
