Herrera Gets September's Rookie Trophy Monday, October 1st , 2057 Ernesto Herrera won the Rookie of the Month Award in the Thurman Munson League today. After posting 2 wins and 1 loss in 0 starts during September, the Montreal Jazz starter seemed an obvious choice for the honor. He struck out 31 and walked 3 in 20.2 innings and appears to be settling in nicely in the league. If this is any indication of his future success, fans of the Jazz are in for a treat for several years to come. This season Herrera has 40 saves in 70 relief appearances with a 7-8 record and 1.85 ERA. |
