The team captured the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division crown, by the slimmest of margins. "We're happy, excited, overjoyed, relieved, anxious - a lot of emotions going through our heads," said reliever Jason Phillips. "It's really hard to describe the wave of feelings you get going through a pennant race like this." The Blazers can now put the pennant push behind them and focus on the postseason, where the club will enter the bid for the ABL Championship with a 96-66 record. It is the 18th time the Blazers have won the division in their team history and they are seeking a 7th ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE championship. |
