Injury Worsens, Return Delayed for Pilots Jones Monday, October 8th , 2057 Jacksonville Pilots shortstop Herman Jones is not healing as well as expected as he recovers from a strained back muscle and will miss an additional 2 weeks as a result. Jones had been working with the team medical staff, but was taken to a specialist as a precaution. Examination revealed more damage than originally thought. In 19 games this season Jones has compiled a .205 batting average with 9 hits and no home runs. He has also scored 5 times and knocked in 3 runs. |
