Computer Manager
Tips
To begin the season, --- after Jason sends the block 1 CM update file .bhk ---click your team and then Generate a Computer Manager (this will make all necessary lines and name them for you) Now you can edit it how you like.
In the USFHL
we play 4 Off lines and 3 DEF pairs ALL
game except overtime.
For Periods 1, 2 & 3
Your OFF line order must be 1, 2, 3, 4
Your DEF line order must be 1, 2, 3
(the home team then can match up their lines against
the visitors CM prior to the game. There is no manual line changes
allowed)
In Overtime you don't need a 4th OFF line and you may use just two DEF lines.
Lineup
- Be sure to have 18 players selected. 12 Forwards, 6 Defensemen.
Lines
- Be sure not to double shift any players.
Overtime Lines
- OT is 4 on 4. Create 3 OT lines.
Leave the Center position OPEN. Centers may play on the wing
in Overtime.
Power play
- P** can play on the Point. You must have at least one defenseman
on the power play (can't have two P** on the point) - P* are not
allowed to play the point.
Short handed - Centers may play Wing
while shorthanded.
Goalies
- Make sure your % of games
to start adds up to 100 for
your combination of goalies.
Fill in your Goalie Schedule for the block.
Line Orders
- Make sure to check your 3rd period and OT
TABS. (the
game defaults to 3 lines, change this to 4 lines on your CM)
Set your 3rd period Lines to ALL
four OFF lines and
three DEF pairs.
And set your OT with your three OT OFF lines and 2 DEF lines.
Do not play any games now. This is
just the Manager Update period. Once the Commish has received all
of the CMs he will send out another league backup file indicated it
is time to play the block.
There are only two - 5 man Power play lines. The 3rd power play line is actually your 4 man power play unit (used for 4 on 3 power plays) Use PP Line 1 five men PP Line 2 five men and then 4-MAN PP (leave the CENTER positon OPEN) The players on your 4 man PP may also appear on either of your other two PP lines. On the 4-MAN PP you may use a player rated as Center on either Wing position. Similarly for Penalty Killing lines use: PK Line 1 four men (leave CENTER postion OPEN) PK Line 2 four men (leave CENTER position OPEN) 3-MAN PK three men (leave Left Wing and Right Wing positions OPEN) a player rated at Wing may play in the Center position for example you could play Patrick Marleau at CENTER on this line even though he is rated as LW only. - - - - - - Defensmen position on the Power Play. A Forward with the ** may play either position at the defense position (the point) A Player rated at defense may play EITHER Left or Right defense position. For example if your two best Power play quarterback defensemen are both rated LD you could put the other man at RD You can not use two ** Forwards on the same PP Line at the point. |
