Bighorn turned a good effort from starter Dave Ransom into a win over the Kansas City Tornadoes at Ram Brewery Ballpark. The Bison won the game, 6-1. Alex Caballero snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Paul Alexander suffered the loss. The Bison, at 37-47, have now won 4 straight.

Had Bob Ferreira not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ferreira hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Bison.

"Dave had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza.
