8-7 Loss Extends Eureka Losing Streak
The San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Eureka Hornets, 8-7, at Golden Gate Park. San Francisco was led by 24-year old left fielder Josh McBroom, who went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. San Francisco reliever Jeff Agin got the win, raising his record to 6-7. Dave Murphy was tagged with the loss. At 41-45, the Earthquakes claim 5th place in the Thurman Munson League West Division.

In the bottom of the seventh, McBroom put his team in front with his 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Dave Murphy, made it 8-6, San Francisco.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said San Francisco manager Zayar Adelabu.
