Juan Corpus had a hand in Thunder Bay defeating Caribbean by the score of 7-0. Corpus went 2 for 4 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 2 runs. The win puts Thunder Bay at 3-0.

Mario Chaves had a big 2-run triple for the Lighting in the bottom of the first inning. With Thunder Bay leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a splitter from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Angel Rodriguez and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lighting ahead, 3-0.

"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said Lighting manager Masamune Fujimoto.
