The Oconto Falls Timbers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Cortez Aguirre. The right-hander kept the Normal offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-1 Oconto Falls victory at The Cove. Oscar Enriquez closed the game out for Oconto Falls, earning his 1st save. With the loss, Normal is 0-3.

The Timbers got a big at-bat from right fielder Danny Patlan. For the game, Patlan was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Oconto Falls a 2-0 lead.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Aguirre after the game.
