Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Syracuse Orange Sox and Manchester Mooses.

The Syracuse Orange Sox grabbed a win, 11-6, over the Manchester Mooses at Syracuse Fields. Syracuse shortstop Ramon Sanchez went 4 for 5 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Manchester, with the loss, is still a hardy 3-1.

Santos Arenas had a big 3-run home run for the Orange Sox in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Syracuse leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a slider from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Aurelien Prantera and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Orange Sox on top, 6-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Sanchez told the Syracuse Observer. "It's as simple as that."
