Eclipse Collect 7-5 Win Over Pioneers
The Chicago Eclipse defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 7-5, in 14 innings in Roberto Clemente League action at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Chicago pitcher Chris Titus had a standout performance. Jerry Bamberg, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.2 innings. Jaylen Louis picked up his 1st save of the season.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Jason Bennett came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Vancouver pitcher Cameron Calder, he hit a 1-0 splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 6-5.

"Chris was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Chicago manager Demetrio Recchia.

The second-place Eclipse sport a record of 51-35.
