Canby second baseman Jim Dingley played a vital role in his team's 10-4 conquest of Topeka West. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Canby. Adrian Casey came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The winning continues for Canby, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.

Chance Engleman had a big grand slam home run for the Lancers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Canby leading 6-3 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 16-year old right-handed pitcher Ryan Woller and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the Lancers on top, 10-3.

"This team is hotter than heck," said Canby manager Hou-kang Li.
