Gremlins Even Record with 8-5 Victory
Getting offensive support from John Wolochow, the Houghton Gremlins topped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 8-5. Wolochow went 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Gremlins. Reliever Jared Ritsch picked up the win. His record improves to 4-7. Monty Brewster, who is a two-time All-Star, took the loss. Harry Standish earned the save for Houghton, his 1st of the year.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Gremlins grabbed the lead when Wolochow hit his 3rd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple off Manuel Zepeda made it 4-3, Houghton.

When asked about his performance after the game, Wolochow said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."

By defeating Kansas City, the third-place Gremlins improved to 70-70.
