Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium was the site for Roberto Clemente League action featuring the Quebec Armada and Seattle Sasquatch.
The Seattle Sasquatch topped the Quebec Armada, 5-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Sam Godfrey. Godfrey got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Nate Wesson earned his 13th save, after closing out the game.
Seattle took a 5-1 lead on Travis Wharton's 33rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Wharton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Quebec pitcher Terry Dunne visibly frustrated.
Wharton attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
Seattle currently is in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division at 67-73.
