Coronado starter Antonio Ramirez put the Oconto Falls offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Islanders to a 2-1 win. Ross Lane recorded the save, his 4th. The win leaves Coronado with a record of 7-6.

The Islanders got a big at-bat from center fielder Mario Contreras. For the game, Contreras was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Coronado a 1-0 lead.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Oconto Falls skipper Jian-guo Yang.
