Big Day for Jones in 6-1 Mounties Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the fan favorite Jared Jones, the Montreal Mounties stopped the Bighorn Bison, 6-1, in 9 innings. Ryan Martin, the winner, improved to 9-10. He held the Bison to 1 run on 3 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Mounties lead the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division by 11 games.

Chris Elliott had a big run-scoring double for the Mounties in the bottom of the third inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Wes Stith, who is tied for 5th in the RCL with a 7.5 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to center. It was his 46th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mounties ahead, 2-0.
