Eagle Rock Gets 3-1 Road Win
The bats were silent much of the day at Golden Gate Park. But 27-year old catcher Tomas Lazo produced just enough offense to carry the Ridge Runners past the San Francisco Earthquakes, 3-1. Lazo was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bryan Young was called on to finish, recording his 13th save. Their 56-87 record puts the Ridge Runners 6th in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

Zach Farrell had a direct impact on the outcome. Farrell contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Eagle Rock up, 2-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Eagle Rock manager Paco Berroa said.
