The Kansas City Tornadoes buried the Bighorn Bison, 15-2, under a barrage of hits. Vinnie Fasnacht led the onslaught, going 2-for-5 for Kansas City. Ryan Pangle, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-9. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 6. The Tornadoes improved their record to 39-48 by beating Bighorn.

With Kansas City leading 5-1 in the top of the third, Fasnacht came up to bat against Bighorn pitcher Jeremy Harris. Fasnacht hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Tornadoes on top, 9-1.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Carlos Esparza.
