Nutcrackers Keep Losing, Drop 18-7 Contest to Rosewell
The Rosewell Tribbles beat the Normal Nutcrackers, 18-7, with major props going to second baseman R.J. Romero. On the day, Romero was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Tribbles. The win was the 12th in 15 games this season for the Tribbles. It's a terrific start for a team that appears on course for a return trip to the playoffs.

Manny Carranza took Normal hurler Jose Trejo deep in the bottom of the third. His grand slam home run put the Tribbles on top, 6-2. In all, Carranza had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 6.
